About Me

About Me

I was born and bred in Pudsey, West Yorkshire.

During my youth, I played in a number of rock bands playing guitar and singing vocals and I also wrote songs. Due to having small children at the time, I was finding it hard to devote the time, so I called it a day. In 1999, I was sat, one night, at the computer, and I randomly started writing a story. I had always enjoyed English at school and loved writing stories. I had no idea what the story would be about at the time but just kept writing and soon a few lines turned into a story. This was the birth of my love of writing. That writing turned into a story called, ‘A Far Reaching Dream,’ which was written in the paranormal romance genre. This was left in a drawer until I moved to East Yorkshire in 2007 and one day when I was sorting through a few drawers, I found it. It was published by Lodge Books in January 2013.

The second book which is a sequel to ‘A Far Reaching Dream’ is called ‘The Hidden Path Home,’ which is the second part of the big story. My third book is called "Card School" which is also in the paranormal genre. This story follows a young boy at boarding school.

‘Note to Self’ followed with a change in genre and fits into more of a women’s Contemporary fiction. This story is the humorous life of Emily who at forty-nine years old and recently separated from her husband, tries internet dating.

November 2021, saw the release of ‘Between the Two,’ which follows David as he finds his place in the world of love and finds himself torn between two lovers.

I have three children who are all grown up and finding their own way in the world.

All of my books are available in paperback and E-Book formats.
I am currently working on more books, and a big project, news of which will appear on my website at a later date.

Charity Trustee

I combine my writing with working full time. I am also a trustee of a Charity which was started by my wife Jade. This Charity is called Purple Owl and raises awareness of epilepsy as well as providing training, help and advice for both people who live with the condition and the families of those who live with it.
